I’ve been blogging in one form or another since the late nineties and this is the current incarnation of my blog. This is also my first wordpress-powered blog. I started on LiveJournal, launched my own site using Grey Matter, switched to MovableType, and now I’m here. My posts have tended to simply share my current thoughts and general goings-on in my life and I’ll probably continue that for the time being. Its interesting to me to be able to look back at how stupid I was, how crazy I’ve acted, and how much I’ve enjoyed life even through the down times.
With this particular incarnation of the blog, I’m re-enabling the ability for readers to leave comments. I initially allowed that in a previous blog and ended up turning it off because of the amount of spam. I’ve been assured that this will be much less of a problem here, so we’ll see how it goes.
As for who I am … thats a tough one to answer. I wear so many hats in my life that I really don’t know how to answer that question anymore. I’m a lover, fighter, manager, brother, son, alter-ego, friend, and dreamer among other things. I mention those roles specifically because I feel that I am unique in each one because of the relationship dynamics and my own way of adapting to people and situations. I display somewhat different conflict dynamics in those roles as well as slightly different mannerisms. Does that mean I’m not being my true self? I don’t know. It’s all a journey for me and thats why I keep my blog. I truly enjoy seeing myself because thats the best way for me to learn and grow. As terrible as some of my posts are, I’ll never delete them because they represent a part of who I was or am.
