One Day at a Time
Let’s see here … my 401k is in the black, my stock has been going up (finally), I’m still anxiously awaiting news but I keep getting good tidbits, the sun is out, I’m having a light day at work, a fun trip is on the horizon, and I’m making friends for the summer. Something HAS to go wrong.
The news on which I am waiting is long delayed, but a little name dropping seems to have expediated the process on this end. I wasn’t expecting it at all and I wasn’t the one who dropped the name … it was done on my behalf by someone else. So things may just move forward in the very near term. But again, things could go terribly wrong. Its all about patience. Thank God patience is something I’ve learned.
The trip on the horizon is a stop in Las Vegas. The primary purpose is professional development, but c’mon, we all know that there will be plenty of time for personal (maybe financial) development. Otherwise, I’d be going to North Dakota or somewhere with no entertainment value. North Dakota isn’t the least visited state in the Union for no reason. Then again, I’ve never been, so take that worth a grain of salt.
The summer social scene was looking bleak at first because the few people I was hanging out with are gone/working/leaving for the summer. But one is returning and I’ve been talking to/hanging out with a few other people, so we’ll see how it all goes.
Ok, skip back a few paragraphs … patience is something I’ve learned but sometimes the anxious feeling overrides it all. I really want to know one way or the other. I’m assuming that either way SOMETHING positive will come of all of this. I wish I could say more, but I really don’t want to jinx myself. All I will say is that there could be big changes financially for me here, or big changes for me elsewhere … or in a third location. haha. As if that isn’t a dead giveaway.
My little break is over, so I’m going to get back to work. The Coldfusion MX 7 SMS server is a neat little thing. I’m going to be playing with that as a side project and seeing if I can integrate its use here to enhance some services. I’ve also been requested by the parent company to begin creating my knowledgebase application for use here, there, and at the two other locations. I won’t really see anything extra for it, but I’m not concerned. My CMS application is in use and now my KB application will be in use once I develop it. Sometimes, you have to give a little to get a little … and sometimes you get a lot.

A little mantra..just for you..
“No matter how it feels,
I am moving forward,
No matter how good it gets,
The BEST is always coming to me.”
In God ALL things are possible..TRUST..because HIS plan is BEST.
Wishing you a day filled with many blessings..
